When this rising force, buoyancy and viscous lift on the float are equal to the gravity of the float, the float is in a balanced position. Therefore, there is a certain proportional relationship between the fluid flow flowing through the glass rotameter and the rising height of the float, that is, the flow area of the glass rotameter, and the height of the float can be used as a flow measurement.
Glass rotameters are mainly used in various departments such as chemical industry, petroleum, light industry, medicine, chemical fertilizer, chemical fiber, food, dyestuff, environmental protection and scientific research to measure the flow of single-phase non-pulsating (liquid or gas) fluid. Anti-corrosion glass rotameters are mainly used for the detection of corrosive liquid and gas medium flow, such as strong acid (except hydrofluoric acid), strong alkali, oxidant, strong oxidizing acid, organic solvent and other corrosive gases or liquids Medium flow detection.
1. The object of measurement. That is to measure the type of medium, the size of the pressure, and the chemical properties. Such as liquid medium, gas medium, corrosion-resistant flowmeter should be selected for corrosive medium.
2. The performance of the flowmeter itself. After the above conditions are determined, generally speaking, if there is no major change in the price, the needle valve placed on the upper part of the flowmeter can be preferred; the one with a larger flow hole is a direct flow scale; the structure is simple; the external size is small, etc. . If it is a small flow range, you can choose the ball float type, because it is stable in measurement, not easy to accumulate dust, high in accuracy, and good in interchangeability.
3. Choose according to the price. Generally speaking, the higher the price, the higher the precision. The accuracy level of the instrument should be selected according to the purpose of measurement. If it is only necessary to control the throughput of the measurement medium and adjust it after trial operation, the throughput must always be stabilized in the future, then the accuracy is secondary.
4. When the fluid flows through the conical tube from bottom to top, the lift S generated by the kinetic energy of the fluid on the float and the buoyancy A of the fluid make the float rise. When the sum of the lift S and the buoyancy A is equal to the gravity G of the float itself, the float is in balance and stabilized at a certain level. At a height position, the scale on the tapered pipe indicates the flow value of the fluid.
