Liquid applications
It is used in low to moderate viscosity liquids. Clean versions are typically used, though special versions are designed for use with high solid content slurries.

Gas Applications
This application comes into usage when the air is clean or moderately clean, and the gases and gas blends must have velocities up to 250 feet per second.

Cryogenic Applications
This application is mainly used when it contains Cryogenic fluids with temperatures down to -450°F.

Steam applications
It is basically not recommended for measurement. But, it shall be used to clean turbine meters at low velocities and saturated conditions up to 300°F.
